Just eight days after issuing an emergency certificate of need, the Meritus Health Center in Hagerstown, Md., began moving soil to build two permanent South Regional Infection Containment Wings (12,560-sf) to support COVID-19 infected patients.

How they did it:

  • Immediately “identifying & ordering long-lead materials and systems” during design.
  • Collaborating with local officials to expedite the permitting process without compromising the “quality and safety of the final product.”
  • And “developing a schedule with major milestones.”
